Opinião de um adepto grego

Hoje publico aqui uma espécie de entrevista ao adepto grego de futebol, Yiannis Piliouras. 

- Do you intend to follow the World Cup?

I will follow the World Cup as I always do since I remember myself!

- Will the Greeks follow the competition?

Of course they will do! It’s a miracle for our country to participate in the last 2 tournaments.

- What is your expectancy about Greece's performance?

I hope that this time our team will make the difference. It will be a big success if we pass to the next round. We have three great games to play, so let’s pray!

- Who do you think is the most valuable player in this Cup?

Cristiano Ronaldo will be the most valuable player in this Cup. He is one of the best players of the world and he wants to achieve great things this summer.

- Who is the best player in the Greece squad?

Greek squad doesn’t have super stars. It has a great team spirit, that’s why in 2004 we succeeded against great teams with superstars. However, Mitroglou and Karagounis will make the difference for our team. 

- Do you know the Portuguese squad?

Of course! It is one of the best national teams in the world with great players! Portugal has a great football history. Greeks know that because we have many Portuguese football players and coaches! Santos our national team’s coach is also from Portugal!

- Who is for you the most valuable Portuguese player?

Cristiano Ronaldo is the answer for most people. However, the whole team has to make its best in order to succeed. My favorite player though is Vieirinha. We know him from the Greek championship and I love his way of playing. 

- What team will win the competition?

Brazil 

- Who will be the best player?

Neymar from Brazil

- If Greece doesn't win, will you support another squad? If so, what team?

I will support teams that play great football. One of my favorite teams is Brazil

- Did the Greek football suffer with the economic crisis?

Of course. Fans couldn’t support their teams as they did in the past. Stadiums in many cases were empty. Teams didn’t have the opportunity to buy great players. That’s why the differences between the first team Olympiacos and the others are so big!

- You support Olympiacos,  that won 16 championships in the last 20 seasons. Do you think that prejudice Greek football?

Olympiacos has proven many times that is the best team in Greece. More fans, more money, more super stars are few reasons that this Greek Team always win. I hope that someday others big clubs will make the same progress.

- Do the Greeks still talk about Euro 2004?

We remember it and we hope someday will live it again!
